Robert Griffin III signed with the Redskins, Dez Bryant is arrested on domestic violence charges, Marshawn Lynch is arrested and 13 first-rounders remain unsigned as of early Wednesday.
*Robert Griffin III tweeted on Wednesday that he reached agreement with the Washington Redskins. The second pick of the draft reportedly agreed to a 4-year deal worth $21 million with an option for a fifth year. Griffin threw for 3,998 yards and 36 TDs last season, while rushing for 644 yards. Washington is coming off a 5-11 season led by QB Rex Grossman, who will be the backup this year.
*Dez Bryant was arrested on Monday for domestic violence charges after an incident that took place in DeSoto, Texas. Allegedly, the Cowboys third-year receiver hit his mother. In an emotional 911 call that was released on Tuesday, Angela D. Bryant can be heard telling people that her son "tried to kill me."
*Adrian Peterson is coming off a serious knee injury so head coach Leslie Frazier is trying to go easy with his star running back. Peterson tore his ACL and MCL last season in a game with the Washington Redskins in December. Frazier, who is on tour with current and former NFL coaches who are visiting U.S. troops stationed in the Persian Gulf this week with the USO, says he expects Peterson to be eager to compete during their July 27 training camp. He said he will rely on what the doctors and trainers tell him before using Peterson in games.
*Marshawn Lynch was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was detained during a traffic stop by the California Highway Patrol on Saturday night, and his blood-alcohol level was found to be over the legal limit of 0.08 according to the San Jose Mercury News. He was cited for two misdemeanor chargers, driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit. In 2009, Lynch was suspended three games after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor weapons charger in Culver City, Calif.
